Day 23 - The Adelaide Botanical Gardens

For some reason, I again slept another 9 1/2 hours. Must be more relaxing here.

After breakfast we headed off to find the Adelaide Botanical Gardens which was most interesting considering I'm not much of a botanist. They do have a fine collection of different species. They also had a structure that had a covering of brushwood that cooed the found by a good 5 degrees which was most refreshing.

It was 29 degrees again today and most humid, so I suggested we did a tourist thing and relax by the pool, as there was one of these ones that you could look out of whilst being on the 4th floor over the city.

After a few hours reading we decamped to a local Chinese restaurant which was apt as we were in the middle of Chinatown so rude not to. The streets nearby are full of Asian students and so there are lots of Asian restaurants - must be at least 50 of them.

A light meal followed a walk to "The Original Coopers Ale House" - a tap house of the brewery. Here we met Adam from Halesowen who was a Ph.D student doing some environmental research. As the Ale House shut early, he directed us to the nearby Saracens Head where we encountered Kane, and extremely knowledgable cricket opening bat for a local college side. Probably one of the most impressive youth's I've ever met as he must have studied Wisden from 1900 he knew so much about the sport.

Anyway, enough beer sunk and conversation about cricket exhausted, off to bed we went.
