Day 30 - Third test, Day Three

Not so hot today and we are in Tier 1, right by the boundary, near the Barmy Army and in shouting distance of the players.

Archer and Stokes played well for their scores and our final two wickets made 122. Head and Carey then tormented our bowlers except Tongue who is getting the hang of the game in Oz now and took 4 in this innings. Archer bowled 12.1 overs for a mere 20 runs whereas Carse bowled 20 and gave away 80 and Jack 107!

Head eventually made an excellent 170 and Carey 72. These two are really the best the Aussies have got - except Smith of course and he's absent here thankfully as it would have been over 700.

Today, I'm sat next to Giant Haystacks and Robert Duvall. They "entertained" me all day and were actually good company. Robert Duvall had a lot to do with Hereford and Cider so we had a good conversation about that. Giant Haystacks just took the piss.

As we had to wear the Factor 50 Zinc cream today, I did feel like a greasy chip so I was most glad of a shower today.

We retired to the Gilbert Street Hotel for beer, Jambalaya and watched some more cricket on the sports lounge which was most excellent.
