Day 30 - Third test, Day Four

We managed to get some tickets in the gods again today (Tier 5) so off we trots.

Today we did well and took all Australians wickets leaving us 434 behind of which we managed 207-6 by the close.

Duckett and Pope once again failed and Root was out again by Cummins for the 13th time. Crawley had actually a decent knock for 85 but his concentration again let him down. Lyon bowled Brook and Stokes in one over to leave Smith - nervous as a rabbit - and Jacks to bat out the evening session.

Great day for us but the Aussies in the driving seat and we might win yet. But as Brian says, it's the hope that kills you.

Anyway, we have bought Day 5 tickets and that's the first time I will have seen all five days of a Test match!

A good night out commenced with Mongolian Beef at a nearby Chinese which had some really noisy women there and also featured live animals for slaughter in tanks. That's a new level of depravity for me in Chinese restaurants. This was followed by another pleasant evening in The Gilbert Street Hotel, listening to Steely Dan, watching the BBL and a few pints. Perfect as it gets really.
