Day 36 -Dubai and home
The plane was late arriving at Dubai as we had just cleared curfew at Adelaide for some reason, so it was a scramble to get to the next gate and clear security (again). We boarded our last plane, the big A380 to BHX.
I was a bit woriied on this part of the flight as Emirates fly over Iraq and then Turkey, whihc considering previous events, seemed to have been a bit risky, terrorists, upset people and all that. BUt we flew over okay but I was glad to hit Europe again.
The last few hours for the flight we spent having a laugh with an ex-pat named Rachel, who lived on the Gold Coast and was visiting her Dad in Derbyshire.
We landed on time, cleared the airport and caught the train back to Wolverhampton. We were collected by YJ's wife, Anna and that was the end of 5 1/2 weeks on the other side of the world!
Some great memories and what a place to visit! Even if the cricket was a disappointment.
A quick turnaround for me as in three days time, I was on my way to Canada for a week to visit my niece - but you'll have to check the blog for that story.
